ABS – Acrylonitrile -
Butadiene - Styrene
ABS is a modern thermoplastic polymer found
in everyday applications such as construction site safety helmets.
| • |
Acrylonitrile
imparts chemical resistance and rigidity |
| • |
Butadiene
endows the product with impact strength, toughness and abrasion
resistance |
| • |
Styrene
contributes to the luster, ease of processing and rigidity |
|
The Eurapipe
ABS formula used by Euratech has been developed to optimise performance
in respect to tensile strength, chemical resistance, ductility,
resistance to weathering, heat stability, low toxicity, taint free and
ease of processing from raw material to finished product.
Eurapipe ABS
is tough and strong over the recommended temperature range of
–40o C to +70o
C.
| The
outstanding properties of ABS are: |
| • |
High impact
strength and ductility, which combine to give exceptional toughness |
| • |
Good chemical
resistance |
| • |
Abrasion
resistant |
| • |
High strength
solvent weld jointing which allows efficient system assembly and
modification |
| • |
Rubber ring
jointing methods, allowing compatible systems jointing techniques |
| • |
Withstands
aggressive ground waters |
| • |
High strain
tolerance for buried applications |
| • |
Good
resistance to ultraviolet light |
| • |
Lower
celerity and extreme tolerance to water hammer surges |

CPVC
– Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride
Flowguard & Corzan - CPVC Water Distribution Systems
Flowguard CPVC pipe and fittings are specifically designed for potable
water distribution systems. With a proven track record in high-rise
applications, apartment buildings, hotels/motels and commercial
installations, the combined advantages provide a low maintenance,
quality plumbing system you can depend on. Pipes, fittings and joints
are designed for continuous use (50 years plus) at conditions of 100
psi @ 180o Fahrenheit.
Flowguard
pipe and fittings are available in copper tube sizes (CTS) from
½” to 2”. Corzan pipe and fittings can
be utilized in systems requiring larger size pipe and fittings,
available in iron pipe sizes (IPS) up to 12” in diameter.
Fittings are available for easy transition from the IPS Corzan CPVC to
CTS Flowguard CPVC.
Flowguard and
Corzan CPVC plumbing systems deliver the performance homeowners want,
addressing the critical concerns associated with plumbing systems:
noise or water hammer, corrosion and pitting, water purity. Flowguard
and Corzan often meet or exceed the performance of metal plumbing
systems time after time:
| • |
More
energy-efficient than metal plumbing systems. As an insulator, it
doesn’t lose heat the way metal pipes can, saving on heating
costs. |
| • |
Reduced
condensation significantly reduces the risk of costly drip damage to
walls, structure and contents. |
| • |
Reducing the
potential of water hammering and noise production, the number one
complaint from people living in homes with copper plumbing. |
| • |
No corrosion,
pitting or scaling even in the harshest water conditions, where copper
systems may fail in as little as 12 months. |
| • |
Maintained
water purity and no chance of lead and copper contaminants leaching
into drinking water, as can happen with metal plumbing. |
| • |
Value without
adding costs – the cost advantage of CPVC: a safe and
efficiently installed system, with no need for cumbersome cutting tools
and torches, significantly reduces work times results in lower
installed costs for your plumbing system. |
Blazemaster - CPVC Fire Sprinkler Systems
Blazemaster CPVC pipe and fittings are specifically designed for fire
sprinkler systems and are based on product technology with more than 40
years of proven experience. Blazemaster fire sprinkler systems give
fast, easy, professional installations at a lower cost. One-step
solvent cement joining, cutting using hand tools, joining without
torches all contribute to cost-savings. This is the most advanced fire
sprinkler system in the market today, offering more advantages than
metal systems:
| • |
Portable
water-safe under all water conditions. |
| • |
Elimination
of scaling and corrosion for lasting performance, even in salt air
environments. |
| • |
Natural
immunity to Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC). |
| • |
Superior flow
characteristics offer better hydraulic design over metal systems. |
| • |
Easy
fabrication in the field provides unmatched flexibility. |
| • |
Minimal tool
investment generates increased cost savings. |
| • |
50-year life
expectancy. |
| • |
Patented
formulation delivers exceptional toughness. |
